What about Philly?

Back in late 2016, when Airbnb first launched “Experiences”, I noticed something missing—no tours celebrating music history outside of one in London. Inspired, I started creating some general tour content and route designs exploring the rich and diverse musical histories of various Philly neighborhoods and submitted one to Airbnb.

Nearly a year later, we launched as the second experience reviewed, approved, and operating in Philly (starting a week after the Eagles won Super Bowl LII).

Within six months, I left my job to run the tours full-time. It paid off. This was until I decided to hit pause in 2019 to chase love and adventure in Hawaii.

Fast forward to late 2024, back in Philly, I found myself reflecting on those early days. Did anyone else pick up where I left off? Lucky for us, the answer was no—and I saw the perfect opportunity to bring Philadelphia Music Tours back, this time with even more passion and purpose.

Now, the tours are bigger, better, and more immersive than ever. Philadelphia Music Tours isn’t just about history; it’s about connection, creativity, and seeing the city in a whole new light.
